Erika Dawn Asbury, 39, of Bedford, passed away on May 25, 2023.
Born on July 7, 1983, she was the daughter of Deborah and Bill Weddle and Tony Thomas.
Erika was a graduate of the Bedford North Lawrence High School class of 2002. She then graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She worked as a cashier at Marathon. Erika attended the Bedford First Church of God and loved reading mystery books and taking walks.
Surviving Erika are her parents; one brother, Tanner (Tathena) Thomas; two sisters, Ashleigh (Andy) Crowe and family, and Aubrei (Dan) Teter and family; maternal grandmother, Ruth Pounds; companion, Nathaniel Bryan; half-sister, Amy Hewitt; and her fur babies, Simon, Samson, and Ruby.
Erika is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jimmy R. Pounds.
Cremation was chosen with a memorial service at a later date. The Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes has been entrusted with Erika’s care.
