PAOLI – The Paoli Police Department recently received a grant of $5,700 from Hoosier Uplands for the purchase of a new search and rescue UAV.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, the UAV has thermal viewing capabilities and will be used for multiple emergency situations.
Additionally, officers with the department have begun training to pilot the drone and will receive FAA part 107 certifications.
