Roger Alan Perkins, 66, of Bedford, passed away at his home Friday, May 26, 2023, after a short illness.
He was born September 5, 1956, in Bedford, the son of Samantha C. and Denny R. Perkins. He married Kathryn Inez Sellers on December 29, 2006.
Roger attended Shawswick and Mitchell High Schools. He most enjoyed working at various independent outdoor jobs, even after injuries forced him to retire early. Roger liked helping others and staying busy.
Roger is survived by his mother Samantha Perkins of Bloomington, his wife Kathy, sons Alan R. Perkins and J. Wesley (Victoria) Perkins, two brothers Jeffrey W. Perkins and Andrew (Rachel) Perkins, and two sisters C. Denise Buckingham and Pamela S. Perkins, all of Lawrence County, stepson Nathan Jones of Bloomington, stepdaughter Natasha Jones Young of Columbia, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his father Denny Ray Perkins, son Marvin Kirkman Perkins and stepson D. Koal Warren.
Cresthaven Funeral Home is handling arrangements including cremation. Family memory activities are private.
