Stephen Caraway, 77 of Bedford passed away on May 18, 2023, at 2:28 a.m. at Our Hospice in Columbus.
He was born in Bedford on February 1, 1946, to Othel and Phyllis (Brown) Caraway. Steve married Dona Darlene Cobb on August 17, 1974, in Bedford and she survives. Steve was the owner and operator of Steve’s Heating and Air, he retired from White Castle in Orleans, he was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and he attended Victory Family Fellowship in Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Dona “Darlene” Caraway of Bedford, one son, Anthony Caraway of Bedford, one daughter, Deanna Jones of Bedford, seven grandchildren, Marissa Caraway, Dakota Caraway, Gage Andrick, Camden Andrick, Logan Shaw, Lacey Shaw, and Landon Shaw, four brothers, Vincent Caraway, Danny Scott, Charlie Caraway, and Greg Caraway, one sister, Mary Swayze.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Dawn Caraway, four brothers, George Caraway, Paul Caraway, Tom Caraway, and Jim Caraway, and one sister, Anna Fisher.
Stephen’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Victory Family Fellowship in Mitchell, with Brother Kyle Hall, officiating. Cresthaven Funeral Home was entrusted with his care.
