Erma Fern Pemberton, 90 of Bedford passed away at IU Health in Bedford on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 9:45 p.m.
She was born in Bedford on January 8, 1933, to Albert Jack Atchison and Dolly Jane (Blevins) Atchison. She retired from Older Americans in Orleans and was a member of the Mitchell Nazarene Church. Erma married Cecil Pemberton in Mitchell in 2008 and he survives.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Pemberton of Bedford, three children, Robert Reynolds of Virginia, Tammy (Glenn) Sewell of Mitchell, Randy (Tina Marie) Reynolds of Mitchell, three step-sons, Randy (Jamie) Pemberton of Bedford, Kevin (Susan Tumey) Pemberton of Mitchell and Brian (Wendy) Pemberton of Bedford, grandchildren, Jessica Mounce, Charles Mounce, Maxine Cox, Jenna Ochoa, Chad Reynolds, Travis Reynolds, Stacey Mann, Robbie Reynolds, Jeremy Reynolds, Jamison Reynolds, Brandon Pemberton, Aaron Pemberton, Cheyenne Pemberton, Krislyn Wilson, Tanya James, Tristda Cook, Austin Pemberton, Aiden Pemberton, and Nathan Pemberton, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Eugene Atchison.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter Earl Reynolds in 1991, one son, Roger Reynolds, one step-son, Tim Pemberton, her twin brother, Buck Atchison, brothers, Leon and Leland Atchison, two sisters, Bertha Young and Loretta Rush, grandson, Timothy Lynn, Jr. in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home with Pastor Dwight Dunbar, officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
