MITCHELL – Mitchell High School’s Avery Southern and Page Mullis were selected for a Patoka Lake Athletic Conference all-conference team following their performances this season.
Southern, a senior, had 33 hits this season, tied with Malaya Tanglao for most on the team. She held numerous team highs at the plate, including RBIs (37), batting average (393) and home runs (11).
She was also the team’s go-to option at the mound, throwing 83.1 innings this season, with 12 starts and a 3.444 ERA.
Pullis, a junior, finished the season with 28 hits and 19 runs batted in, with a 3.08 batting average.
Defensively, she had a fielding percentage of .917, with 34 putouts on the season.
