INDIANA – It’s been more than a week since the eastbound lanes of I-465 closed to allow crews to complete work across all travel lanes. Bridge deck overlays, new bridge approaches, pipe cuts in the pavement, and ramp reconstruction are just some of the items crews accomplished in the first week.
All photos in this week’s On Track showcase the progress being made on the eastbound lanes of I-465.
Work will continue around the clock as weather permits, and we encourage motorists to download the INDOT TrafficWise app or visit 511in.org to view live traffic cameras and see travel speeds before heading out.
To gain a sense of the scale of this closure, head over to the Photos and Videos page at i69finishline.com to view the latest drone photos from I-465 construction.
While westbound I-465 remains open to traffic, we encourage all motorists to follow the posted speed limits in the construction zone and not be distracted by eastbound work zone activities.
Crews have installed a temporary four-way stop at Banta Road and Belmont Avenue that will stay in place while Banta Road is reconstructed under the new I-69.
All four legs of the S.R. 144 roundabout are open to traffic.
Crews will continue working in the center island of the roundabout.
Motorists are encouraged to go slow and pay attention to new traffic patterns.

As part of our Employee Spotlight video series, INDOT highlighting Brandy Stackhouse, a Teamster, and Laborer on I-69 Finish Line.
Brandy plays a pivotal role in keeping the workplace safe for workers and motorists by operating a water-dispensing truck that helps with compaction and dust control.
The actual starting date and duration for work and any closures may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur.
