SPRINGVILLE – During a meeting on Thursday, members of Springville Community Academy and Rural Foundation board voted to elect their officers for the next year.
The board voted 5-0 to elect Kevin Smith as the new president, replacing Albert Cross, who served as the board’s president since the school’s inception in 2022.
Smith, who attended the meeting virtually, said he was honored to have the chance to take part in what the board has worked to establish with the charter school.
“Thank you, it’s an honor,” he said. “Mr. Cross, I just want to thank you and all the board members for the work you all did to support the Springville mission. It’s an honor just to be a part of the team.”
Other officers elected during the meeting were:
- Vice President – Brandt Kimmel
- Secretary – Justin Spoonmore
- Treasurer – Beth Feldman
