BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioner voted to change the hours of operating at the courthouse.
According to Administration Director Travis Sanders, the courthouse hours will change from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
“I polled the employees and most had a positive response,” added Sanders. “Every day we have residents lined up outside waiting for the courthouse to open.”
Commissioner Wally Branhams was in favor of the change.
“I think this is a good idea,” Branham added. “77 percent of the courthouse around the state are operating at these hours.”
More information will be released later this week on when the hour change will happen.
