BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioners Tuesday morning, approved the purchase of a custom wellness app for county employees.
Commissioners Rodney Fish and Dustin Gabhart voted for the purchase. Commissioner Wally Branham abstained from the vote.
“Your most valuable source is your employees and their mental health,” said Mike Branham an Indiana Communication Strategist of OVC Wellness. “The app will give employees instant access to critical health and wellness tools, education, and the support they need to build mental health resiliency to move from mending trauma to preventing it.”
The app also provides “push notifications”.
“Department heads will be able to use the app to send out notifications – like their department is closing early,” added Branham.
The app will be customized to meet the needs of those in Lawrence County. Families of employees will also be able to use the app.
The app also provides the following:
- Peer Support
