BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioners Tuesday morning passed Resolution 2023-24 to accept State Public Funding to improve core services and mental health services at the Lawrence County Health Department.
“Senate Act 4-2023 and House Enrollment Act 1001-2023 will ensure every Hoosier has access to core public health services that allow them to achieve their optimal health and well-being with a focus on mental health,” said Commissioner Rodney Fish. “This is a sizable grant of $460,000.”
The Lawrence County Health Department addresses the medical and environmental health concerns of the citizens of Lawrence County. They are also responsible for county birth and death records (beginning with the year 1882).
