BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioners have a crew working to get the flag at the Courthouse unstuck.
“Many people have noticed the large man lift in front of the Lawrence County Courthouse,” the Commissioner wrote in a statement this morning. “The flag is currently stuck due to a mechanical issue with the pulley system inside the gold ball atop the pole. The Lawrence County Commissioners are working with McIntyre Bros. Construction to fix the pulley system that controls the flag. The replacement parts have been ordered and should be delivered this week. McIntyre Bros. Construction will be installing the replacement parts ahead of the Limestone Heritage Festival and other Independence Day Festivities.”
