BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence girls golf coach Kori Johnston fired a 2-over 74 to take the first-round lead in the Bedford Ladies City Championship on Saturday at Otis Park.
Johnston, a former City winner, finished with a three-shot edge over defending champion Brooklyn Cromwell heading into Sunday’s final round.
In the Men’s Senior City, Terry Mahoney and Kim Henderson carded 2-over 74s to share the first-round lead in the Championship Flight. They own a one-shot advantage of J.T. Bellush, while Craig Reiner posted a 76.
Other leaders included Chloe McFaddin (85 in the girls City division) and Evan Tillett (79 in the boys City division).
