JACKSON CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Company plans to close State Road 135 at the bridge over the branch of Kiper Creek on or after Monday, July 10, for a superstructure replacement project in Jackson County.
The bridge is located 2.68 miles north of State Road 58, near County Road 890 North, and is expected to remain closed for approximately 65 days. The official detour will follow S.R. 58, S.R. 258, S.R. 11, I-65, and S.R. 46.
The $4.5 million contract also includes a deck overlay, superstructure replacement, and four box culvert replacements on S.R. 135, S.R. 258, and S.R. 58. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
