November 29, 1937 – July 3, 2023
Donna Ione (Albin) Cox, 85, of Bedford, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister, of Bedford, passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 3, 2023, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born November 29, 1937, in Deadwood, S.D., she was the daughter of Ward Noel Albin and Jesse Mae (Pierce) Albin. Donna was a member of Dive Christian Church. She worked many years as a Qualified Medical Assistant and retired from StoneBridge Healthcare. Donna was very passionate and caring toward those she cared for, and many of those families were grateful for her care and service.
Donna was a woman of strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She faced life’s challenges with grace and determination, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit and warm smile will be greatly missed.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her dear brothers, Dale Albin, Dewayne Albin, Ronald Albin, and Gordon Albin, as well as her beloved daughter, Sherry Andrighetti. Their memories will forever be cherished.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Kay Kunda (Ray) of Tampa FL, and her devoted sons, Harry Taylor (Tammy) of Bedford IN, and Billy Taylor (Kim) of Kalamazoo MI, as well as her 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Donna’s presence in their lives brought immeasurable joy, and she will be remembered as a guiding light, offering unwavering support and unconditional love.
Donna will be fondly remembered by her family, extended family members, and dear friends. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire and touch the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who provided care and support to Donna throughout her life. Their kindness and compassion brought comfort and solace during difficult times.
A memorial service will be held at Dive Christian Church in Bedford, Indiana to celebrate Donna’s life and honor her memory, on Thursday, July 6, 2023. Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. with a funeral service following immediately after at 2:30 p.m.
Donna Ione Cox will forever remain in our hearts, her spirit living on in the cherished memories she left behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
