JACKSON/LAWRENCE COUNTY — Contract crews plan to begin guardrail modernization and replacement work next week on U.S. 50 in Jackson and Lawrence Counties.
Starting on or after Monday, July 17, motorists can expect daily lane restrictions between S.R. 135 and S.R. 446. Guardrail work will begin near Brownstown and continue west. Restrictions are expected between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Work may occur on Saturdays if necessary. This project is scheduled to be complete by late October.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
