MONROE COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces weekend lane closures on S.R. 45 for bridge beam repairs on Arlington Road in Bloomington.
Weekend closures are scheduled to begin on or after Friday, July 14. At 9 p.m. each Friday, the right lane of eastbound S.R. 45 will be closed as crews complete work over the roadway. The lane is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. each Monday.
The I-69 northbound ramp to eastbound S.R. 45 will also be restricted during this timeframe. The project is expected to be complete by mid-August, weather permitting.
This contract also includes repair work on the I-65 bridges over U.S. 31 (near MM 75) in Bartholomew County.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
