Lawrence County 4-H 10 year seniors part 3

LAWRENCE COUNTY – Here’s our third installment of 10-year 4-H seniors! Enjoy!

Joe Ray Newton-Pursell

Joe attended Owen Valley Highschool, and plans to move on from there to Tennessee Tech, majoring in Fishery Science and Wildife Biology. He has a lot to say when it comes to advice for future 4-H’ers “Enjoy all the new friendships and experience 4-H gives to you. These are days and memories you will wish to visit over and over in your mind through years to come. Appreciate your parents, step-parents, grandparents, family and friends for all the help, sacrifices and knowledge they give you over the years.”

Joseph Brazzel

A former student at BNL, Joseph showed rabbits in the Lawrence Count Fair. He has big plans to play soccer and attend IUPUC for Nursing. He particularly enjoyed the end-of fair water fights, and suggests that “Patience and persistence are key” when it comes to take-aways.

Katlyn Hall

Katlyn is a Mitchell Highschool student who has a wide variety when it comes to her interestes. From Gardening, Climate Scient, Fine Arts, or Poultry, to Posters and Geology, her ten years in 4-H have been eventful. In the future she means to pursue a degree in Business administration.

Kaylee Bean

Kaylee apparently can’t stay out of school for long. After graduating from BNL, she has goals to become a Pre-kindergarten teacher. She admitted that her favorite part of fair was when her whole family came to watch her horse shows and she was able to tell them about it. “Don’t take it too seriously” she advises, “Have fun and make memories!”

Mady Snack

Mady shows horses, and is currently attending Indiana University to study elementary education. She says that “4H has taught me to be responsibility and problem-solving.” but also “Don’t take it too seriously- have fun and make memories!”

Mary Batz

Mary and is graduating from BNL like many of our other seniors. She submitted a children’s book to the Creative Writing category in fair, highlighting her like of children. She has been working at Playful Pathways at NLCS, but plans to attend Ivy Tech in the future. She leaves the following note for future 4-H’ers “Get started on your projects early!”

Natasha Caswell

Natash hails from Eastern Green School, and showed rabbits, goats, poultry, and exhibit hall projects. She wants to become a CNA, and holds onto the knowledge that “You can learn something new from everyone that you meet. Don’t be afraid to take chances, and put yourself out there!”

Nora Howat

Nora, Junior Leader and 10-year 4-H’er enjoyed entering her work in the photography category. She graduated from our own BNL and will be attending Purdue for a degree in agricultural education.
