INDIANA – The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program provides housing assistance in the form of a rental subsidy payment to private landlords on behalf of low-income individuals, families, seniors, and persons with disabilities for housing units they have chosen in the private rental market.
Effective July 14th, 2023, South Central Community Action Program (SCCAP) will open the Section 8 HCV waiting list for the following counties:
The application portal will be available on July 14th, 2023. Please note that applicants will be required to create a WaitListCheck account and have a valid e-mail address in order to submit an application. The Section 8 HCV program is not emergency housing assistance and your waiting time for assistance may exceed 24 months.
