Coleen Catherine Lewis, 64, of Bedford, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, at IU Health Hospice House.
Born June 1, 1959, in Stanford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Gene and Pat (Slyker) Sullivan. Coleen married David Allen Lewis on October 31, 1989, and he survives.
Coleen worked as a Registered Nurse for Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She loved cooking, listening to music, and sitting out on the back porch getting sun. Coleen was one-of-a-kind; a caring person, an amazing nurse, and a really good mom.
Surviving are her husband, Dave Lewis of Bedford; children, Karen Elaine Lewis of Bedford and Stephanie Lee Jones of Harriman, Tennessee; granddaughter, Shaylynn; siblings, Anna Sullivan, Gene Sullivan, and Kendall Sullivan, all of Connecticut; and mother, Pat Sullivan of Stanford, Connecticut.
Her father and sister, Diana Sullivan, preceded her in death.
Cremation has been chosen. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 27, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Gary Lee officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
