FRENCH LICK – An Odon man was arrested on Sunday, July 23 after an Indiana State Police trooper stopped his vehicle on State Road 56 near Frenck Lick.
Trooper Andrew Jones stopped the driver 24-year-old Austin Markel because the vehicle had a defective headlight.
During the traffic stop, the trooper noticed signs that Markel was impaired.
Markel failed several field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.101 percent.
Markel was detained on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
