WASHINGTON CO. – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday, July 24 on State Road 160 near Conway Church Road in Washington County.
The accident was reported at 6:19 p.m.
According to a Washington County Sheriff’s Department report, 22-year-old Christopher Jonas, of Salem, was traveling west on State Road 160 when for an unknown reason the vehicle crossed left of the center line entering the eastbound lane, and struck a 1999 Buick Park Avenue driven by 49-year-old Will Wynn, of Salem.
Wynn complained of pain and was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Salem. Jonas suffered multiple injuries and was transported by Washington County EMS to the University of Lousiville Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by Deputy Maxwell Mitchell, who was assisted by Sgt. Lucas Gray, Washington County EMS, and members of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department.
