SCIPIO — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor GeoStabilization International plans to begin work on a slide repair project next week on State Road 7 north of Scipio.
On or after Monday, July 31, State Road 7 will be reduced to one lane near Private Road 625 West. Temporary signals will control traffic as the contractor stabilizes the roadway and adjacent hillside through the construction of a soil nail wall.
Work is anticipated to be complete in approximately 10 days, weather permitting. Guardrail will also be replaced at the work site.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near construction zones. Motorists should watch for stopped traffic in the area. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
