BEDFORD – Emergency Management Director Valerie Luchauer reported to the commissioners Tuesday morning there were no major issues during the 43rd Annual ABATE Boogie.
The event was held July 20-23 at the Lawrence County Recreation Park in Springville.
“I am just thankful we did not have the intense heat that followed,” She added. “We only had a few ambulance runs and the Sheriff’s Department responded to one call that included an arrest. Everything went smoothly.”
During the intense heat that hit the county, Luchaure did have cooling shelters in place to open but no one requested a place to shelter.
