Wanda Sue Pruett, 80, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born January 27, 1943, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Bruce and Ettie Helen (Owen) King. Wanda married Carl Pruett on February 2, 1965, and he preceded her in death on September 1, 2006.
Wanda was a 1961 graduate of Huron High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Bonds Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her son, Nelson Trent Pruett of Mitchell; and grandchildren, Emma Rose LaRoche and Justin Bruce Pruett.
Her husband; parents; siblings, Joseph James King, Mary Alice Terry, Francis “Plug” King, and infant sister, Edith Marie King; and daughter-in-law, Becky Pruett, preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, at Bonds Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Robert Martindale officiating. Burial will follow at Bonds Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at Bonds Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bonds Chapel.
