Paving continues in Lawrence County

BEDFORD – Lawrence County Highway Superintendent Brandi Webb told the commissioners Tuesday morning, crews are out mowing and cutting brush to allow motorists and school bus drivers a better view before school starts.

“The high grass has become a real problem,” Webb added. “We ask that people be patient we have been working on it every day.”

Paving continues and crews are patching roadways.

On Monday crews paved North Pike Road from State Road 54 to Trogdon Lane.

The following roads will be closed from 7:00 a.m. each day until approximately 5 p.m.:

  • Today crews are paving Harrodsburg Road from Springville Judah Road to Sieboldt Quarry Road.
  • On Wednesday crews will pave Popcorn Church Road from State Road 54 to Popcorn Road.
  • On Thursday and Friday, crews will not be paving.
  • On Monday crews will pave Avoca Eureka Road from State Road 158 to Purdue Farm Road and on Tuesday crews will pave Fayetteville Williams Road from State Road 158 to Ridge Road.
