JACKSON CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc. plans to begin work in mid-August to replace the State Road 250 bridge over Horse Lick Creek in Jackson County.
On or after Monday, August 14, State Road 250 will close west of Dudleytown for up to 120 days, through mid-December. The bridge is located between State Road 11 and County Road 475 East. During the closure, traffic will be routed along the official detour, which follows US 50 and I-65.
Motorists are reminded to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution, and avoiding distractions when traveling in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
