Robert “Bob” W. Lantz, 91, of Bedford passed away at his home on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
He was born in Bedford on August 17, 1931, to Theodore William Lantz and Nettie Kathryn (Eddington) Lantz. Bob married Geneva Kathryn (Katie) Lantz on December 24, 1950, and she preceded him in death in 2019. Bob retired from NWSC Crane and was a US Air Force veteran and member of Hillcrest Christian Church.
Survivors include his children, John (Michelle) Lantz and Shelly (Mike) Leatherwood, grandkids, Mark (Chelsy) Lantz, Adam (Kala) Lantz, Devin (Tyler) Wagler, David Lantz, Jr., Evan Todd, and Ethan Todd, eight great-grandchildren, five siblings, Karen Christl, John Lantz, Daniel Lantz, Pamela Gonzalez, and Theodora Glen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Geneva “Katie” Lantz, son, David Lantz, and two sisters, Rita Norman and Jean Ryan.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Christian Church in Bedford, burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens, with Brother Charlie Scott, officiating. Military rites
were given by the Bedford American Legion Post #33. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
