LAWRENCE CO. – The Lawrence County Adult Education Advisory Board (LCAEAB), initiated by the Lawrence County Economic Growth Council (LCEGC) and the partner organizations that make up the Lawrence County Workforce Coalition (LCW Coalition), came together in the Spring of 2023 to further the objective to get people to work and provide incumbent workers additional training/skills needed to obtain better jobs.
Within the scope of this work, it was determined by the Board that a Community Education Coordinator position to lead this initiative was crucial to its success.
Through intense work, a job description for the Lawrence County Community Education Coordinator was created and the Board is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill this position. The Coordinator will help develop and execute the strategic vision by implementing education and career strategies for Lawrence County.
The Coordinator will work with local school systems to ensure pathways taught are related to local job demands and also build relationships with existing industries to provide the framework and best practices that allow local companies to expand their capabilities.
