BEDFORD – A Bedford woman was arrested on a warrant after an incident on July 26, 2023.
According to a probable cause affidavit, on that day an adult female came to the Bedford Police Department to report her grandmother 63-year-old Rosanna McCart had struck her in the face.
The female said she was getting a ride from McCart when she used the back of her and struck her in the face. The female said she suffered bleeding and pain in her mouth. She told police that the only reason her grandmother hit her was because she doesn’t like giving her a ride. The female said the incident happened around 6 a.m. on July 26 near 4th and H streets.
The female asked to file a battery affidavit against her grandmother.
Police attempted to speak to McCart but were unable to reach her.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for McCart’s arrest on a charge of domestic battery.
