BEDFORD – Yesterday the NLCS board approved a proposal to demolish the old home side BNL stadium grandstand in favor of constructing new ones that will line up with ADA guidelines. GT grandstands has been contracted for the job.
The old grandstands failed to meet requirements, but the new grandstands will be updated to standard. The new grandstands are limited to the home side of the stadium, as the visitor’s side still meets ADA standards.
The new grandstands will be capable of seating 2,716, including 22 wheelchair spaces with accompanying seats, stairs, and ramps, and a contract that includes a one-year warranty.
The demolition of the old bleachers is included in the overall cost, which stands at $1,051,800.
