BLOOMINGTON – Come coach the next big college basketball star.
The City of Bloomington Parks & Recreation Department is looking for 50 coaches who can commit to once-a-week practices and games from mid-October to mid-December.
Practice days and times are set by the coach; game days and times are set by the age group of the team.
Coaches must be 18 years old or older, pass a criminal history background check, and complete a youth coaching certification course through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.
Prospective coaches must attend a mandatory coaches’ meeting on October 4, from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Twin Lakes Recreation Center. Practice times and the player draft will be held this night.
