WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, August 23 around 9 am. Washington Police Department officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle that occurred near State Road 57 and East Main Street. The vehicle was taken sometime during the overnight hours.
Within a few minutes, officers located the stolen vehicle at Ogdon and Greenwood streets.
Officers discovered that 20-year-old Aarow Truelove, of Montgomery, stole the vehicle after reviewing video footage of the crime.
Officers pursued the investigation which led them to a home on Front Street but Truelove was not there. Police did find narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Those who were at the home could be facing possible charges. That incident remains under investigation.
Officers then located Truelove on Northwest 16th Street and he was detained.
Truelove was arrested on charges of auto theft and unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle.
