BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington North freshman Andres Firacative scored four goals as the Cougars blitzed Bedford North Lawrence 9-2 during boys high school soccer action on Saturday.
The Cougars (2-2-1) rolled to a 5-0 lead at the half. The other North goals came from Cyrus Urheim, Ethan Gaither, Ty Wagner, Noah Nelson and Jaafer Zaneer.
“North played a lot of through balls and kept constant pressure on our back line,” BNL coach Ryan Otis said. “They had several great individual plays for goals as well.
“We have to get better at absorbing the attack. We need to cut down on turnovers and build possession of the ball.“
BNL’s goals came in the second half, courtesy of Adriano Sullivan (off a run down the right side) and Brayden Patterson (finishing a corner kick to the back post).
The Stars (2-2) will journey to Silver Creek on Tuesday.
