MOORESVILLE – Mooresville conquered Bedford North Lawrence in four sets during high school volleyball action on Saturday.
The Pioneers posted a 25-19, 25-16, 17-25, 25-12 triumph to even their record at 8-8. The Stars slipped to 5-9.
Camryn Anderson totaled 14 kills and 18 digs to pace BNL.
“We gave away too many points,” BNL coach Whitney Carroll said. “We missed the most serves this game (nine) than we have all season.
“There’s still a lot to be proud of. We fought hard and came out firing in set 3, going ahead 7-1 early and finished for the win that set. Zoey Shelton was a big contributor for that set. She had five of her seven total blocks that set, along with Isabelle (Harding) having five of her nine total blocks.”
Sammie Gratzer also had 14 kills and 13 digs, Sara Williams added five kills, Shelton finished with three kills, Kendlyn Alvey had 15 digs and Suttyn Alvey recorded 10 digs.
BNL will visit Columbus East on Tuesday.
