INDIANA – Hoosiers interested in representing Indiana as delegates to the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago can learn more about the process by attending one of four training sessions from the Indiana Democratic Party this fall.
IDP staff and volunteers will hold training sessions in Northern Indiana, Central Indiana, and Southern Indiana, and a statewide virtual event on Zoom by October 11.
Becoming a delegate means the opportunity to be there when nominating the presidential Democratic nominee and approving the national party platform.
These trainings will cover the basics of the delegate selection process, and key dates and timelines potential delegates will want to know.
The dates, times, and locations of the training are listed below:
- September 23 (Central IN) at 10 AM ET: IBEW Local 481, 1828 N. Meridian St #205, Indianapolis, IN 46202
- September 30 (Northern IN) at 10 AM CT: USW Local 1010, 7047 Grand Ave, Hammond, IN 46323
- October 7 (Southern IN) at 10 AM ET: Bartholomew Co. Dem HQ, 1417 Chestnut St, Columbus, IN 47201
- October 11 (Virtual Statewide) at 7 PM ET/6 PM CT
The IDP is committed to having a delegation that reflects and represents Indiana in Chicago.
