Linford “Linny” Young, 70 of Bedford passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 1:05 p.m. at White River Lodge in Bedford.
He was born on June 25, 1953, in Hazard, Kentucky to Argus and Juanita (Roy) Young. Linny was a graduate of Tunnelton High School, he was of the Christian faith.
Linny worked as a Custodian at BNL High School and was a truck driver at Steel Tech in Mitchell. He loved fishing, hunting mushrooms, hunting, and watching IU Basketball.
Survivors include one sister, Debbie (Gary) Moody of Mitchell, three brothers, Argus Young of Bedford, Darrell (Rhonda) Young of Bedford, and Colvin Young of West Virginia, several nieces and nephews, several great and great great nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Pat Guthrie, and brother, Ben Young in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., with Brother Reno Bates, officiating. Burial will follow in White River Baptist Cemetery in Buddha. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home.
