COLUMBUS – Columbus East ripped through the first two sets while cruising to a sweep of Bedford North Lawrence during high school volleyball action on Tuesday night.
The Olympians (5-11 overall, 3-1 in the Hoosier Hills Conference) rolled to a 25-11, 25-13, 25-14 victory over the Stars (5-10, 0-4 in the HHC).
“We were flat in the first two sets,” BNL coach Whitney Carroll said. “We came out in set 3 competing. We were tied up with them from point 1 through point 10. East is a solid team with some great athletes.”
Camryn Anderson paced BNL with 13 digs and 6 kills. Sammie Gratzer added 6 kills, and Kendlyn Alvey totaled 10 digs.
“Camryn continues to be a great leader for us,” Carroll said. “When we’re down she’s talking, working hard and making plays when we need them. She doesn’t quit. We need more kids to give their all like she does.”
BNL will host Shoals on Thursday.
