CROWN POINT – The 12th Annual Influential Women Awards Banquet will be taking place on Thursday, September 28, when winners from a pool of over 165 finalists will be announced in front of an audience of nearly 800 attendees. This year’s nominees, of which there were more than 300, come from many leading regional companies and organizations.
During the awards banquet, two winners will be selected in 12 different industry categories – one Up and Coming winner and one Influential Woman winner. There will also be awards for the overall Up and Coming Woman of the Year and the Influential Woman of the Year. Additionally, special awards will be given for Community Leader of the Year and Supporter of the Year.
“With such an amazing group of finalists and nominees, the Influential Women alumni had a real challenge this year in selecting the 2023 winners,” said Erica Dombey, NWIIWA Board Chair. “All over our region, women are affecting real change and making a true difference in their communities. We’re so proud to celebrate the achievements of this year’s winners and finalists, and we remain committed to working together as an association to continue to advance women in our region.”
Finalists were nominated by their peers and other members of the public. These nominations were then evaluated by Influential Women alumni from their respective fields. Past winners come from all kinds of different professional backgrounds, including educators, corporate leaders, hospital officials, government officials, nonprofit heads, caregivers, and others.
