June 17, 1957 – September 7, 2023
Ardela Jean Greer, 66 of Bedford passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 7:25 p.m. at her home with family by her side.
She was born in Bedford on June 17, 1957. She was a 3-time Cancer survivor as she would say, but this fourth time, she was so determined to beat as well. She always told the doctor she would outbat their date on anything. (That was her goal.) She was a strong fighter but was always honest, and kind, and was a gentle soul who will be dearly missed.
She was the daughter of Richard Lee Moser and Karen Sylvia (Thompson) Moser. She was a graduate of Bloomington High School North. Ardela was a cook at Bedford Junior High School for many years then switched to working at Buy Low in Bedford which was renamed IGA Grocery in Bedford and lastly in Ellettsville.
She loved the outdoors, going for walks, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, loved planting flowers
every year. She had a green thumb from her father. Loved to just get out and go for car rides to be able to talk and see the scenery and changes. Fall was her favorite season with all the beautiful colors, she loved to spend time with her kids and family.
Survivors include two children, Tanna Covey of Bedford and Jason Greer of Bedford, her parents, Richard and Karen Moser of Williams, grandchildren, Lexi Greer, Nathanael Covey, Jacob Covey, Cassy Greer, and Ardel Karain Grace Lynn, great-granddaughter, Ryland Covey (Lil Bit), sister, Rachel Wilson, whom she was close to and often spoke with often one brother and one sister.
The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice and her team for their loving, supportive care for her, and everything they have provided.
Cremation was chosen, and burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery at a later date.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with her care. Condolences can be made at www.cresthavenfh.com.
