Maxwell Steven Butler, 72, of Oolitic, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, at his residence.
Born October 15, 1950, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Maxwell Eugene and Matricia Ann (Keithley) Butler. Steve worked at Divine Automotive in Mitchell Indiana for several years.
He is survived by a sister, Melodee Ann Charlesworth, an aunt, Mary Ellen Sowders, and cousins Jim Sowders, Mary Beth Browning, and Susan Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Bert and Winnie Butler, and Bill and Estus Bush.
Private family services will be held.
