When police arrived at 12:32 a.m. a man told police he wanted to put his granddaughter to bed when Banks took off across the street to the neighbor’s house with the girl.

Police went to the neighbor’s house and she told police she asked Banks why she had her daughter outside at this time of night. She reported Banks was “very drunk” and would not answer her questions.

She told police Banks then walked across the street and went behind a house.

Officers found Banks and the girl in an alley off of 4th Street about a block from the original call.

Banks told officers she was out looking for something she had lost. She also admitted to fighting with the male who made the initial call to the police.

Police say Banks was intoxicated. She smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, and was unsteady on her feet.

Officers requested Banks take the child home and she could return to look for her lost item.

Banks returned the child then walked around the block and stood in the neighbor’s yard. While she was doing this police learned Banks had busted out the windshield, the front driver’s side window, and the back glass of the caller’s car.

The caller requested to file charges.

Banks was placed in handcuffs and began forcibly pulling away from the officer. When they arrived at the jail, Banks continued to struggle and had to be forcibly placed against a wall in order for the officer to gain control. She then refused to walk and had to be forcibly moved forward.
