BLOOMINGTON – A farmers’ market allows growers to sell directly to consumers at a given location and time. The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market allows growers the opportunity to market directly to consumers without dealing with a food broker.
The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Showers Commons at 401 North Morton Street in Bloomington.
Growers can explain how the food is grown and educate consumers on how to prepare it. Finally, farmers and food vendors at our market display their bounties for people passing by to smell and purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, eggs, meats, cheese, mushrooms, and baked goods.
Come spread the love this Saturday.
