Six projects to receive Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) will present the prestigious Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence (GAEE) at the 26th annual Pollution Prevention Conference and Tradeshow. 

GAEE is reserved for the most innovative, transferrable, and effective programs or projects with measurable environmental, economic, and social benefits. One recipient in each of these six categories will be honored for their outstanding environmental achievements:

  • Energy Efficiency/Renewable Resources
  • Environmental Education and Outreach
  • Greening the Government
  • Land Use/Conservation
  • Pollution Prevention
  • Recycling/Reuse

Previous winners include:

  • Cummins, Inc.
  • Roche Diagnostics
  • Toyota Material Handling
  • National Office Furniture
  • Toyota Motor Manufacturing
  • DePauw University
  • The City of Carmel.
