BEDFORD – The September Park Program will host live animals and could be of interest to the whole family.
This program on Raptors and Birds of Prey will be held at the Otis Park Bath House at 6 p.m. on September 26.
Lola Nicholson from Raptors Rise Rehabilitation will be there with three of the birds she has rehabilitated. Lola is well-known in the community and does great presentations. For this program, she will bring an American kestrel, a great horned owl, and a barn owl.
You can view each of these birds up close and she will explain each of these species and how she and others work to rehabilitate these amazing birds when they are injured. She also will discuss the importance of raptors and how to help maintain their habitat.
Please RSVP for the program by September 25 so we know how many people to expect by calling 812-275-5692 or emailing gdorsett@bedford.in.us.
Mark your calendars for the October 24th Park Program on Fire in Indiana. This program will be presented by Dan McGuckin on how Fire has historically influenced the landscape of southern Indiana and how landowners can safely use fire on their own land. This program will also be presented at the Otis Park Bath House.
