Russell Leon Oliver, 52, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, in Lafayette.
He was born on March 24, 1971, in Bloomington, to Mary Catherine (Cobb) Oliver and James Andrew Oliver.
Russell graduated from Tri-West High School and was a material operator at Acuity Lighting. He attended the Lizton Baptist Church.
Surviving to cherish Russell’s memory are his father, James Andrew Oliver; step-mother, Barbara Oliver; sisters, Teresa Ann (Oliver) Whitt and husband Jim and Tina Rose (Oliver) Bradley and husband Ron; brothers, Melvin Levi Oliver and wife Flo and Andrew Len Oliver; and the “love of his life”, Mary Ellen (Beavers) Oliver.
Preceding Russell in death were his mother, Mary Catherine Oliver; and brother, Stacy Lee Oliver.
Funeral services for Russell will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, Bedford, with Pastor Reno Bates and Clarence Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Chapel Cemetery, Leesville.
Visitation will also be held on September 21st at the funeral chapel from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
