BEDFORD – A Bloomington man will face charges of burglary, stalking, invasion of privacy, and residential entry after a woman filed a report with Bedford Police on a protective order violation. The woman reported she was in fear for her safety.
Police arrested 44-year-old Justin Strole.
According to police, Strole contacted the woman numerous times between July 2 and September 6, 2023.
The woman reported Strole had been messaging her repeatedly and driving past her home on Teddy Bird Lane. He had also left handwritten notes on her back door.
The woman had two pages of notes of incidents where Strole violated the protective order.
During one incident in July, she woke to find Strole had broken into her house and was standing over her bed.
Police did not speak to Strole saying they “had a legitimate concern that interviewing him at this time may cause him to lash out toward the woman or her family”.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and a warrant was issued for Strole’s arrest.
