COLUMBUS – Columbus North pulled out a tight third set to compete a sweep of Bedford North Lawrence during high school volleyball action on Tuesday night.

The Bull Dogs (14-9) posted a 25-14, 25-21, 27-25 victory as BNL fell to 7-16.

“Columbus North is a great team with some big-time hitters,” BNL coach Whitney Carroll said. “We started a little timid, but once we settled in we started playing good volleyball. Our girls were having lots of fun out there.

“I was so proud of their fight. In the locker room after Monday’s game, we talked about pushing through adversity, bouncing back after an error, shaking it off and making the next play count. We did a great job of doing just that tonight. I’m really liking how we’re playing right now.”

Camryn Anderson recorded 13 kills and 7 digs, Sammie Gratzer had 11 kills and 8 digs, Trinity Bailey added 2 kills, 11 digs and 30 assists. Kendlyn Alvey had 8 digs, Suttyn Alvey totaled 9 digs, Zoey Shelton had 2 kills and Saran Williams had 2 blocks.

The Stars will visit Jeffersonville on Saturday.
