MONROE CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Geostabilization International plans to conduct a sing closure along southbound I-69 in Monroe County to install two soil nail walls for a slide repair.
On or after Monday, October 2, crews will close the right-hand lane of southbound I-69 from Rockport Road to South Harmony Road to begin slide repair work. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph and barrier walls will be in place, while work is in progress. Crews will complete guardrail and paving work as needed following the installation of the soil nail walls. Work is expected to take up to 45 days, weather permitting.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
