BEDFORD – The Housing Authority City of Bedford will open its Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) waiting list on October 10, 2023.
Applications may be picked up in person at 1305 K Street, by phone at 812-279-2356), or by email lhughes@bhabedford.com on October 10, 2023, and thereafter.
If accommodation is needed please call the main office and we will make arrangements to get
you an application. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (Closed Noon until 1 p.m. for lunch) and Friday 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
The Housing Authority used the date of completion and received it on its waiting list. Waiting times can vary based on bedroom size and available vouchers.
In order to qualify for the Housing Choice Voucher Program, applicants must be income-eligible (annual income must not exceed 50% of Area Median Income) and annual household income must not exceed:
- 1 Person: $26,100
- 2 Persons: $29,800
- 3 Persons: $33,550
- 4 Persons: $37,250
- 5 Persons: $40,250
- 6 Persons: $43,250
- 7 Persons: $46,200
- 8 Persons: $49,200
